This old rock quarry was established as a public park in 1999, restoring local outdoor recreation and preserving natural wetlands into the future. A gravel trail surrounds a large pond with good height above the water line which keeps the surface solid. The trail also diverges to connect another local park nearby, and this section easily collects standing water as it travels through the wetlands portion of the park.

Parking can be accessed next to the Salish Ponds Lodge entrance, which is the neighboring apartment residence.
