Kelley Point Park sits at the confluence of two great rivers, and holds some historical interest regarding the early days of Oregon Country. Hall J. Kelley was a prolific advocate for emigrating to the Pacific Northwest, and the park’s location was of specific favor to him, understandably.
Mature black cottonwoods create a towering canopy of rustling leaves and filtered sunlight. An asphalt path leads you to the water’s edge for views of the colliding rivers and a few historical info graphics. The park road completes a loop to the parking lot. Short trail with pleasant landscape and amenities.
