A 675 acre natural preserve connecting several neighborhoods and the Lewis & Clark University campus. In 1970, a small group of ambitious and forward thinking women secured the future for Tryon Creek State Park, and four decades later the forest thrives within the urban sprawl.
Over 14 miles of trails with dedicated sections for biking and equestrian hobbyists, this park offers safe access for everyone. Trail maintenance is apparently active, and Oregon State Parks have taken great care with the signage. Several foot bridges have been constructed across the river including a suspension bridge which spans a small tributary.
